We’ve just completed a very special photoshoot. Special for two reasons. This year I’ve made a commitment to do full sessions of my own kids. It’s the whole, cobbler’s-kids-have-no-shoes-thing. There are TONS of photos of my kids. But not full photo sessions like I do for my clients. This year I am going to do a shoot with each one of them that captures their personalities. And boy, does Circus Girl get to the essence of my WG. She’s spunky, playful and imaginative. She loves to dress up, but she also loves to frolic in the woods and play imaginary games. This just suited her. It was a joy to see her personality come out and to watch her play in my lens.
The other reason I’m so excited about this shoot is video. Alex and I went to Imaging USA in Atlanta in January where we got the video bug in a big way. This year, we’re adding short portrait films to our repertoire, giving our clients both stills and motion. Film suits us – as so many of our traditional sessions are designed to tell and story and to show motion. Video gives us another tool in the toolkit for telling each client’s unique story. The best part, we can capture this all at the same time! The session takes a little longer, but it’s so worth it.
I’m super proud of this project and can’t wait to bring it to our clients this summer! So please, check out both the stills and the film! And let me know what you think!!!! XOXO, Corey
