So… there’s a few things you can do on your end to make the day great. First, let your kiddos know they can call me Corey. It’s good for me to be on their level on the day of the shoot. No need to stand on ceremony with me.
Second, there are a few things to pack that can make your experience a little easier. Here’s my little cheat sheet to download, but if you do nothing else, please remember to put some sort of insect repellant on the kiddos. It’s no fun for them if they get eaten up by critters.
And last but not least, the dreaded “what to wear” question. You can click here and see a range of outfit options for the family, but in general, soft pallets are really really nice. Especially if we’re doing kiddo portraits, peaches, creams, grays are all really nice to skin and don’t create a color cast. My favorite portraits showcase the people, not the clothing.
